“Andrés produced the sound effects for Hexahedra, a puzzle game set in a factory. He created wonderful, solid mechanical noises that really bring the factory to life. He was determined to deliver fantastic sounds, and he was happy to iterate on things until we had something that worked – there were two sounds in particular that took quite a while to really nail, and Andrés worked tirelessly and uncomplainingly to get them right. He also made the sounds for the UI, and carried the mechanical theme over to that, which makes all the sound hang together.
His communication was solid, and he was full of great ideas. I really wasn’t sure what we needed for the “clicking on an octopus wearing a wizard hat” sound, but what he came up with was perfect!
